PEACH SWEET ICED TEA

I came up with this peach sweet iced tea recipe after getting addicted to a similar drink from Starbucks.  Not only is it quick and simple, but can be made at home for only a fraction of the price!

Peach Sweet Iced Tea

Total Time 10 mins
Servings 4 12 oz glasses

Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 4 black tea bags
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 cups peach juice
  • 1 peach, sliced (optional)

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan bring four cups of water to a boil. Remove from heat. Add two tablespoons granutaled sugar and stir until sugar is dissolved. Add four black tea bags and let steep for 3 to 5 minutes, or until it's the strength you like. Allow to cool at room temperature. Once cool add two cups peach juice and sliced peach (optional). Pour tea mixture into a pitcher and refrigerate for at least two hours.

Notes

This is a quick and simple recipe so it can be tailored to fit a lot of different tastes.  I don't drink a lot of caffeine so I actually make this recipe with decaf black tea.  I've also tried a variety of peach juices and have found that I like peach and white cranberry the best. Experiment a bit and see what tastes best to you.
