Add the 3/4 cup water and granulated sugar to a small saucepan and bring the mixture to a simmer. Continue simmering, being sure to stir occasionally, until the sugar has completely dissolved. Allow the mixture to cool before adding the fresh lemon juice. Stir to combine. Transfer the simple syrup to a container and store in the refrigerator until ready to use.This will make approximately 3 cups of lemon simple syrup.
Mango Lemonade
Add 1 cup lemon simple syrup, cubed mango and 1 cup cold water to a blender and blend until smooth. Refrigerate for 2 hours or until chilled.
Notes
This recipe calls for 1 1/2 cups fresh lemon juice, which is the juice from approximately 7 to 8 lemons.
This recipe will make approximately 3 cups, or 24 oz.
